There is no traditional school for being a magician, so if becoming a magician is something you are really serious about, it's imperative that you have a lot of discipline and are prepared to teach yourself the basics. This can be done by watching magic videos online and by reading a variety of books. If you are purchasing videos, make sure to buy from a reputable magician. In order to work professionally, it is helpful to join an association in order to network with other magicians and build contacts.
